1 Corinthians 12:3 “Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.”
Speaking by the Spirit of God means to talk by revelation, speaking for God as directed by the Holy Spirit. This includes all forms of speech from the spirit whether it is prophecy, teaching, or speaking in tongues and interpreting. Accursed (Greek word is anathema means a person or thing detested or loathed; consigned to damnation or destruction; excommunicated.)
What this verse basically means is, don’t worry, you can not possibly say anything bad about Jesus Christ when you are speaking by the divine direction of the Holy Spirit whether in your own language or in an unknown tongue.
Furthermore, people can not simply say that Jesus is their Lord without first believing it in their hearts and accepting him as their Lord. That gets them the gift of holy spirit. Now they can truly say that Jesus is Lord.
This is why Jesus said about those people who did good works in his name and called him Lord but they never went the extra mile of actually believing it and accepting it in their hearts, “And then will I profess to them, I never knew you: depart from me, you that work iniquity.” Matthew 7:23
